People peacefully visit stupas and temples in regions and states on full moon day of Tazaungmone (Samañaphala Day), enjoy Tazaungdaing lighting festival

As the full moon day of Tazaungmone is one of the significant days for Buddhists, people hold the Tazaungdaing festival and lighting festival as part of preserving the Myanmar cultural traditions.
Buddhist people took Sabbath, recited Patthana treatises and Paritta, offered Kathina robes to monasteries and performed meritorious deeds while peacefully paying homage to pagodas.
This evening, Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, SAC Vice-Chairman Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win and wife Daw Than Than Nwe, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief and their wives lit oil lamps and decorated multicoloured lightings as well as flowers, water and 1,000 oil lamps at Shwebonepwint Pagoda in Zeyathiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw Council Area. Likewise, roads, buildings and trees in the compound of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) were decorated with multiple colour lightings as the Tazaungdine festival with the happy participation of families of the Offices of the Commander-in-Chief (Army, Navy and Air). The Senior General and party viewed round the participation of families in the Tazaungdine festival.

Moreover, the ceremony to pay homage to Shin Uppagutta and ceremonies to set adrift oil lamps into the water and Tazaungdine lighting festivals were held at stupas and temples in regions and states under the rules and regulations. The people visited there and joined the Neikban Zay festival (donation in dedicating to the Nibbana).
Famous vocalists performed songs at the entertainment programme of the Tazaungdine night special sale at the Nay Pyi Taw water fountain park, crowded with people. In addition, recreation resorts, beaches and public parks were thronged with the people in regions and states on the Tazaungdine holiday.
Fireworks were launched at Taboung ground near Uppatasanti Pagoda in Nay Pyi Taw and the People’s Square in Yangon to mark the Tazaungdine festival, attracting the people who posed for documentary photos. All the people joyfully participated in the Tazaungdine festival on the full moon day of Tazaungmone across the nation. — MNA
