ASEAN+3 Finance and Central Bank Deputies’ Meeting held

The ASEAN+3 Finance and Central Bank Deputies’ Meeting was held virtually yesterday morning and Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Myanmar Dr Lin Aung joined the meeting together with ASEAN+3 Finance and Central Bank Deputies.
At the meeting, the International Monetary Fund-IMF presented the global macroeconomic outlook, the ASEAN+3 Macroeconomic Research Office-AMRO the regional macroeconomic outlook, and the Asian Development Bank-ADB the financing of sustainable development in ASEAN+3. Then, the ASEAN+3 Finance and Central Bank Deputies exchanged their views. CBM Deputy Governor Dr Lin Aung took part in the discussion, presenting the economic and financial situation of Myanmar.
In addition, ASEAN+3 future initiatives, the Chiang Mai initiative multi-lateralization and the Asian bond markets initiative were also discussed at the meeting. — MNA/MKKS
