State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing receives Director-General Mr Alexey Evgenievich Likhachev of the Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation yesterday.

State Administration Council Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received a delegation led by Mr Alexey Evgenievich Likhachev, Director General of the Rosatom State Corporations at the parlour of Zeyathiri Beikman in Yangon yesterday. Also present at the meeting were SAC Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr Myo Thein Kyaw, Union Minister for Electric Power U Thaung Han and officials. The director general of Rosatom State Corporations was accompanied by Russian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Nikolay Listopadov and relevant officials.
At the meeting, both sides frankly exchanged views on the effective use of nuclear energy in health and agricultural sectors including electricity production and further cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear energy.
After the meeting, the Senior General and the director general of Rosatom State Corporations exchanged commemorative gifts and had documentary photos taken. — MNA/KTZH
