Some roads in Yangon to be temporarily closed during 76th Anniversary Union Day celebration

Some roads in Yangon will be temporarily closed during the celebration of the 76th Anniversary Union Day. The opening ceremony of the ethnic traditional food fair will be held to hail the 76th Anniversary Union Day on 10 February and the Union Day will be celebrated on 12 February at the assembly ground of the Hluttaw compound in front of the People’s Square.
During the celebrations, the Pyay Road will be closed from 4 am to the end of the ceremony between 10 and 12 February. Vehicles running from north to south along the Pyay Road have to turn right at Myaynigon traffic lights and use Kyimyindine (lower) road and vehicles running from south to north along the Pyay Road have to turn left into Pyidaungsu Yeiktha Road and heading to Kyimyindine (lower) road through Baho Street and Ahlon Street.
The Union Day Commemorative Fair will be held at People’s Square from 9 am to 5 pm on 10-12 February with 25 ministries’ galleries, 15 galleries of Nay Pyi Taw Council, regions and states, 15 ethnic food stalls and 356 galleries of the Yangon Industrial Zone. – TWA/MKKS
