Notice released for registration of cottage industries including traditional medicine manufacturing industries, SMEs

The Small-Scale Industries Department has issued a notification for cottage industries including small- and medium-sized enterprises and traditional medicine manufacturing industries in Yangon Region to register.
It has been announced that all cottage industries and maintenance services that have from three to nine employees have to register at the Small Scale Industries Department.
The application must be made according to each type of relevant business with necessary documents such as laboratory test results for a food business, and a license or registration issued by the relevant Department of Traditional Medicine for the traditional medicine industry. Along with the documents, a letter of recommendation from the relevant ward where the business is located, three sets of application forms, five license photos, three copies of the Citizenship Scrutiny Card and the business registration fee of K10,000 will need to be summited for application.
It is reported that the registration of cottage industries can be done at the Small Scale Industries Department, No 137, Thudama Road, North Okkalapa Township, Yangon Region. — TWA/CT
