MoFA Union Minister receives IFRC Regional Director for Asia Pacific

The IFRC Regional Director for Asia Pacific calls on Union Minister U Than Swe yesterday.

U Than Swe, Union Minister for Foreign Affairs, received Mr Alexander James Matheou, International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) Regional Director for Asia Pacific, yesterday at the ministry in Nay Pyi Taw.
The IFRC regional director for Asia Pacific briefed the Union minister on the nature of the work of IFRC and the role of IFRC in supporting and strengthening the activities of the Myanmar Red Cross Society. The Union minister discussed matters related to providing technical assistance in the sectors of health, sanitation and awareness raising. — MNA
