Drugs seized in Nawnghkio, Taunggyi and Shwenyaung townships

A combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force searched a passenger bus near the Oriental Tollgate in Nawnghkio township at 10:30 pm on 6 May and captured 1,880 stimulant tablets.
Similarly, Police Force searched the house of Ma Zar Zar Win in Taungni village of Shwenyaung township and seized 11,000 stimulant tablets. After interrogation, the police arrested Ma Htay Htay Kyu, who is a chain perpetrator in the same village.
The offenders have been prosecuted under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law. — MNA/MKKS
