Tatmadaw (Air) continues transport of foodstuffs, relief items to Rakhine State

The relief materials and food items contributed by families of Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) and well-wishers and relief supplies provided by the National Disaster Management Committee for local communities affected by the natural disaster in Rakhine State are being transported by Tatmadaw aircraft, helicopters and vessels.
Military personnel, firefighters, relief materials, school backpacks and uniforms, rice, bags of dried fish, onions, garlic, dried chilli and instant noodles were transported from Nay Pyi Taw Airport to Sittway Airport three times by Tatmadaw plane.
Similarly, the employees of the Myanmar Posts and Telecommunications under the Ministry of Transport and Communications, health staff, officials from ASEAN embassies based in Myanmar, departmental staffs and military personnel who will assist in the rehabilitation tasks, communications accessories, foodstuffs, solar panels, batteries, inverters, tarpaulin and rescue equipment were transported from Mingaladon Airport to Sittway Airport eight times by Tatmadaw plane.
Officials in the respective areas received relief supplies and will continue to distribute them to storm victims. – MNA/KZW
