Thailand donates relief items for storm victims to Yangon Region Chief Minister

The relief items donated by Thailand for the people of Myanmar affected by the storm Mocha were handed over at Bo Aung Kyaw jetty in Botahtaung Township on 3 June 2023.
Those generous contributions were donated by His Majesty King and Her Majesty Queen of Thailand, the government of Thailand, Thai Red Cross Society, Thai-Myanmar Friendship Association and the people of Thailand.
At the handover event, Ambassador of Thailand to Myanmar Mr Mongkol Visitstump explained the purpose of donations, while Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein expressed his gratitude for the donations.
Next, the Thai Ambassador handed over the relief items to the chief minister. The donated items are essential supplies such as 48 cartons of fried fish, 16 cartons of boiled egg, 34 cartons of canned tuna fish, 100 cartons of canned pickled mustard, four boxes of candles, two boxes of flashlights, 167 cartons of rice, 384 cartons of fried chicken, 1,836 cartons of canned fish, 1,530 cartons of instant noodle, 20 cartons of Millet snack, 50 cartons of Jelly snacks, six boxes of puffed rice stick, 15 boxes of purified water bottles, 10 cartons of tea bags and 10,000 cans of fish.
These relief items were transported to Bo Aung Kyaw jetty by car via Myawady and will be delivered to the people in the areas affected by the cyclone “Mocha”. — Aung Myint (IPRD)/KZL
