MoI DM-led delegation arrives back after attending Asia Communication Forum

Deputy Minister for Information U Ye Tint and his delegation have returned after attending the Asia Communication Forum (ACF). On 22 October, they visited Guangxi Radio and Television Station, exploring the Guangxi Radio and Television Information Cooperation Centre.
During the visit, Guangxi Radio and Television and Myanmar Radio and Television (MRTV) signed agreements to collaborate on news and entertainment programmes, including ongoing teleplay series. Deputy Minister U Ye Tint held discussions with the director-general and deputy director-general of Guangxi Radio and Television to enhance cooperation, promote reciprocal visits, facilitate study programmes, and expand filming and broadcasting initiatives.
MRTV has been working with Chinese television series, known as GXRTV, since the signing of an exhibition agreement on 14 May 2017. Weekly, these Chinese TV series dubbed into Myanmar are televised in Myanmar, resulting in the airing of 18 television series and seven cartoon episodes to date. Currently, two cartoon episodes titled “Layhninyakhayee” (Air Travel) and “Phyusinsatehla” (Pure Mind) are being broadcast with Myanmar dubbing.
This collaboration involves technical staff from Guangxi and audio dubbing experts from MRTV, who have been visiting each other’s countries to ensure the success of this partnership.
Upon their return, the deputy minister and his delegation flew through Guangzhou, arriving at Yangon International Airport yesterday evening. They were warmly welcomed by officials from the Ministry of Information and Ms Feng Liping, Head of the Department of Information and Public Relations of the People’s Republic of China. — MNA/TS
