Illegal timbers and consumer goods confiscated

The Bago Region Illegal Trade Eradication Task Force, in coordinated efforts, confiscated a total of 3.725 tonnes of illegal teak with an estimated value of K1,440,620 in Bago and Toungoo districts on 20 November. The action was taken under the Forest Law.
On the same day, an on-duty team from the Customs Department impounded 90 units of Kashiwa Red Electric pans and 2,400 bags of Smart softener, collectively valued at K4.2 million, lacking official documents at the Kawkareik (Tadakyoe) combined checkpoint.
The Illegal Trade Eradication Steering Committee reported two arrests on 20 November, with a total estimated value of K5,640,620. — MNA/MKKS
