Union Energy Minister U Ko Ko Lwin holds friendly talks with Ambassador of Egypt Mrs Aya Saad Mohamed Abdelkarim at the ministry in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

Union Minister for Energy U Ko Ko Lwin met with Ambassador of Egypt Mrs Aya Saad Mohamed Abdelkarim and her team at the office of the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.
At the meeting, they friendly discussed upgrading and construction of new oil refineries and fertilizer factories in Myanmar, cooperation in investment in exploration and production of inland and offshore oil and natural gas, import of liquefied natural gas (LNG), the opportunities for close cooperation in the energy sector between Myanmar and Egypt, and encouragement for use of compressed natural gas vehicles instead of fossil fuel-fired vehicles for reduction of carbon dioxide emission and use of fuel in Egypt.
Also present at the meeting were departmental heads and officials.—MNA/TRKM
