Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn delivers the speech at the honorary dinner for winners of Academy Awards 2023 and those who participated in organizing the 2023 Myanmar Academy Awards event in Yangon yesterday.

Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn attended the dinner in honour of winners of the Academy Awards 2023 and those who participated in organizing the 2023 Myanmar Academy Awards event at MWD Media Centre in Yangon yesterday.
In his opening speech, the Union Minister highlighted the formation of 17 working committees and subcommittees, 12 awards, including three lifetime awards conferred at the event and marking scheme of Myanmar Motion Pictures Organization in reviewing 35 movies, and also expressed gratitude to the relevant persons who participated in holding the event.
He also talked about the best fashion awards and positive comments from artistes, professionals, and fans.
Then, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein and Chairman of Myanmar Motion Pictures Organization U Kyi Soe Tun delivered words of thanks to relevant officials, and Chairman U Zaw Myint Oo of the Academy Award judging panel explained the award selection processes.
Officials then gave cash awards to those who participated in the academy event, and lifetime achievement award winner Academy Daw Nwet Nwet San expressed gratitude on behalf of the award recipients. — MNA/KTZH
