MoHT UM attends workshops on sustainable tourism through MSMEs development, St Petersburg-Myanmar tourism development

Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Dr Thet Thet Khine yesterday attended the Workshop on Sustainable Tourism through MSMEs Development, together with officials and MSMEs entrepreneurs and officials of ASEAN-Japan Centre at Tongapuri Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw.
At the event, the Union Minister talked about two projects of ASEAN-Japan Centre in 2023 regarding the Sustainable Tourism through MSMEs Development and Resource Development and proper opportunities for local MSMEs development through tourism.
Then, Programme Director Mr Chairat Liengkajornkiet of ASEAN-Japan Centre made a remark.
The Union Minister also attended the Workshop on St Petersburg-Myanmar Tourism Development marking 76th anniversary of establishment of Myanmar-Russia diplomatic ties online in the same evening.
Russian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Iskander Azizov sent a video message to the meeting.
During the event, the Union Minister highlighted the enhancement of Russia-Myanmar relations and cooperation, tourism related data for Russian tourism entrepreneurs, participation of Myanmar in international travel expo to be held in Russia and bilateral tourism promotion. — MNA/KTZH
