Myanmar, Russia foster further cementing diplomatic relations, friendly ties, cooperation

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation talked about further strengthening of friendly relations and cooperation as both countries have been cementing diplomatic relations for many years.
Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received a delegation led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr Andrey Rudenko of the Russian Federation at the Credentials Hall of the SAC Chairman Office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.
They cordially discussed cooperation in peacefully applying nuclear technology, and collaborative efforts in generating hydropower and producing electricity from solar energy.
They also exchanged views on exchange of goodwill visits between State leaders and high-ranking officers of both countries, running of flights for promotion of tourism and trade sectors between the two countries, cooperation in improvement of social and education sectors, plans to supply sufficient volume of fertilizer to Myanmar, and further cooperation in bilateral relations.
Also present at the meeting were Council Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs U Lwin Oo and officials. The Russian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs was accompanied by Russian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr Iskander Azizov and officials. — MNA/TTA
