Myanmar and Sri Lanka forge tourism cooperation

Myanmar and Sri Lanka cooperate with each other in the development of the tourism industry, said Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.
Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing held talks with Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Myanmar, Mr J M J P Bandara, who has completed his tour of duties, at the SAC Chairman Office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
They cordially exchanged views on bilateral relations and diplomatic relations, cooperation in religious affairs, members of the Sangha and nuns from Myanmar studying in Sri Lanka, and offering religious titles to venerable members of the Sangha from Sri Lanka by Myanmar.
Both sides frankly discussed cooperation in trade promotion and investments between the two countries, enhancement of bilateral cooperation in the education sector, and preparations of Myanmar to hold a free and fair election.
Also present at the meeting were SAC Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe and officials. — MNA/TTA
