45,125 students take Biology, 83,510 students take Economics on 6th day of 2024 matric exam

THE 2024 matriculation examination (new curriculum) continued its sixth day yesterday. A total of 45,125 students sat for the Biology exam, and 83,510 students took the Economics exam across the nation, including overseas exam centres.
This year, a total of 768 exam centres for biology exams, including six overseas exam centres and 762 exam centres at home, are open for students. Altogether, 45,125 students out of 48,482 registered students sat for Biology with 3,357 absentees. The number of students sitting for the exam was 93.08 per cent.
A total of 98,041 students registered for Economics at six overseas exam centres and 828 exam centres at home, and 83,510 students sat for Economics with 14,531 absentees. The number of students sitting for exams accounted for 85.18 per cent, according to the figures of the Ministry of Education. — MNA/KZL
