Myanmar MMA fighter Aung La N Sang’s rematch will be confirmed early next year, according to the statement with the ONE Championship.
Aung La N Sang announced on his Facebook page on 21 December that his rival will be announced in early 2022.
Aung La has been out of MMA since the end of July and ONE CEO will announce his rival at the beginning of the year, probably as early as March, MMA experts predicted.
Aung La N Sang fought twice in 2021 and has not returned until the end of the year.
Aung La N Sang used to stay in the Light Heavyweight World Championship category while Middleweight Challenge fights will be launched next year, and both challengers or world title matches will likely be announced simultaneously.
Aung La N Sang has decided to fight only in the middleweight division after missing out on two world championships. If Aung La will fight De Ridder in the upcoming bout, he will have to fight for the world title.
If Aung La had to fight with Okami of Japan or Bigdash of Russia, it would be a challenge.
De Ridder of the Netherlands currently holding both the Middleweight and Light Heavyweight World Championships which were previously won by Aung La N Sang.
