During inspections on 13 December, the combined teams managed by the Mandalay Region Illegal Trade Eradication Task Force nabbed three vehicles, travelling from Hpa-an to Mandalay and Yangon to Mandalay, carrying 18 kinds of goods valued at K49.879 million, including 21 wooden wardrobes and 360 bags of Super Star wafer without official documents at the Myitnge Bridge on the outskirts of Mandalay, 700 bags of Ming Lan monosodium glutamate (25 kilogrammes each) worth K35 million without official documents at a warehouse in Pyigyidagun township and two Dongfeng tractor heads with a CMIC tank trailer and a Sengrun tank trailer (approximately K240 million), heading to Myitkyina from TadaU and Hopin from Yangon (Thilawa Port), carrying 8,500 gallons of locally refined diesel and 8,800 gallons of premium diesel worth K153.8 million without official documents near the Suhtupan Tollgate at the Milepost 45/3 on Mandalay-Singu Road. The action was taken under Customs procedures.
On the same day, the combined teams captured two kinds of goods worth K27,434,626, including 280 sets of meat grinders different from the Import Declaration (ID) in a container at the Asia World Port Terminal container checkpoint. The action was conducted under Customs procedures.
On 14 December, the combined teams supervised by the Yangon Region Illegal Trade Eradication Task Force seized four gallons of illegal fuel oil and 12 gallons of illegal diesel valued at K138,865 in Hlinethaya (West) township, 30 gallons of fuel oil and eight gallons of diesel worth K366,680 in Insein township, 1,550 gallons of illegal diesel worth K13.733 million in Mingaladon township and 1,500 gallons of illegal diesel valued at K13.29 million in Hlinethaya (West) township. These actions were conducted under the Petroleum and Petroleum Products Law.
Seventeen arrests were made on 13 and 14 December, with an estimated value of K636,642,171, as reported by the Illegal Trade Eradication Steering Committee. — MNA/MKKS
