Contract signed to transfer duties and responsibilities of State-owned cinemas in Taunggyi

The duties and responsibilities of the State-owned cinemas – Mya Thu Kha cinema (Taunggyi) and Aung Thiri cinema (Lashio) were transferred in Taunggyi yesterday afternoon.
At the contract signing ceremony, Chairman Dr Kyaw Tun of the Shan State Administration Council said two transferred state-owned cinemas and Thein Htike cinema and Thida Aye cinema in Lashio that have been sold to the private sector would be supervised to screen films. He added that supervision to the screening of 10 cinemas that have not yet been screened and taking action to the cinemas that could not be screened.
He urged the Ministry of Information to cooperate with the Shan State Administration Council.
Deputy Minister for Information U Ye Tint addressed the ceremony, and responsible persons signed the contract. Similarly, the Kayah State Administration Council held the transfer of duties and responsibilities regarding the state-owned Thiri cinema in Kayah State on 11 May. — Maung Maung Than (Taunggyi)/GNLM
