Education Minister inspects school reopening plans in Nay Pyi Taw

Union Minister for Education Dr Nyunt Pe inspected the preparations for reopening schools in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

The Union Minister accompanied by deputy ministers and officials met with the respective education officers, headmasters and teachers of No(10) B.E.H.S, No (9) B.E.H.S, No (7) B.E.H.S in Zabuthiri Township of Nay Pyi Taw Council, including the Government Technical Institute (Nay Pyi Taw).

During his visit, Union Minister instructed to focus mainly on school buildings, classrooms, teaching materials, toilets, water and electricity for the basic schools and to make preparations to fulfil the needs to reopen the schools across the nation, including housing for education staff.

He also discussed the recruitment of headmasters, effective teaching methods and managements, an equal education system regardless of schools and the creation of opportunities for all students to achieve equal rights to learn.

Then, the teachers presented their difficulties to the Union Minister.

The Union Minister also inspected the Government Technical Institute (Nay Pyi Taw) in Dhannatheikdi Ward of Zabuthiri Township.

The Union Minister instructed the officials to cooperate in conducting teaching plans and the management sector to reopen the technical and vocational training during fixed times. He also discussed food and snack manufacturing training courses by collaborating with international countries to create job opportunities for the youths, driving and maintenance of farming machines.

The Government Technical Institute (Nay Pyi Taw) offers regular AGTI courses for students like Civil Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Information Technology. The institute also plans to conduct short-term courses. —MNA
