Fire brigade members to serve near large lakes of Yangon Region during Thingyan

During the Maha Thingyan Festival in 2023, fire brigade personnel will work near large lakes in Yangon Region, according to the Yangon Region Fire Service Department.
Firefighters will be on duty starting from 13 April (Thingyan Akyo Day) in Kandawgyi, Inya Lake, and Thardukan Lake in Yangon Region.
Two Assault Boats from Tamway and Thakayta Townships Fire Stations will stand by in Kandawgyi.
One boat will be led by the assistant fire chief, and one boat driver and two fire brigade members will serve the duty.
Two Assault Boats from Hlaing and Sanchaung Townships Fire Stations will stand by in Inya Lake.
One boat will be led by the assistant fire chief, and one boat driver and two fire brigade members will serve the duty.
Two Assault Boats from Shwepyitha and Hmawby Townships Fire Stations will stand by in Thardukan Lake.
One boat will be led by the assistant fire chief, and one boat driver and two fire brigade members will serve the duty.
During the Maha Thingyan period, officials keep watch on people who come to the big lakes and remind them not to go into the lake.
In case of danger, search and rescue operations will be carried out by the troops.
