Confiscated illegal commodities at Myanmar Industrial Port.

Insein District Illicit Trade Eradication Task Force under the management of the Yangon Region llicit Trade Eradication Task Force examined five container trucks near the Department of Fisheries on Bayintnaung road, according to information.
On 10 March, officials seized 112.980 kilogrammes of Zinc wires that were imported illegally and needed the Import Licence. The action was taken under Customs procedures.
On 12 March, a combined team at the Naungmon combined checkpoint in Shan State captured 23 kinds of goods including 12 TRUST dashboard covers worth K9,686,000 without official documents from a Nissan Vanette Pickup auto (approximately K25 million) heading to Kengtung from Tachilek. The action was taken under Customs procedures.
On 13 March, a total of 39.1748 tonnes of illegal teak worth K18,789,924 was captured in Bago, Phyu, Kyauktaga and Lepadan townships and action was taken under the Forest Law.
On 9 March, an on-duty team at the Myanmar Industrial Port container checkpoint confiscated three sets of SJEC elevators that were taken over 61 days of Valid for Prior Arrival (VPA) from two containers. The action was taken under Customs procedures.
Therefore, nine arrests (estimated value of over K302 million) were made on 10, 12 and 13 March, according to the Illegal Trade Eradication Steering Committee. — MNA/MKKS
