K390M worth of Ice seized in Tachilek

A total of 49 kilogrammes of Ice (Methamphetamine) valued at K390 million was seized in Tachilek Township of Shan State (East), as reported by the Myanmar Police Force.
Acting on a tip-off, a combined team comprising members of the Anti-Drug Police Force conducted a search of the Isuzu box truck driven by Sai Chit Oo Wai accompanied by Sai Nyunt Shwe, travelling from Mongsat to Tachilek at 7 pm on 23 February. Police seized 49 kilogrammes of Ice (Methamphetamine).
The police force arrested Sai Kam Hla, Sai Pi and Sai San Htun (aka) Sai Htun (aka) Naunt Htun, who was involved in drug trafficking, with a Crown at 7:30 pm on the same day.
After interrogation, police seized 60 grammes of Ice from the house of Sai San Htun (aka) Sai Htun (aka) Naunt Htun in Wamlon village in Tachilek Township.
The offenders admitted that the seized Ice (methamphetamine) were to be transported from Kyethi Township of Shan State (South) to Tachilek Township of Shan State (East).
Legal action has been taken against the offenders, and an ongoing investigation aims to arrest other perpetrators involved in the case. — MNA/MKKS
