Malicious media Khit Thit Media spread misinformation that as security forces set fire to the whole Nyawpyin Village of Launglon Township in Taninthayi Region on 8 January, residents had to flee away.
According to the information of residents, terrorists who set fire to villages some 3,700 metres southwest of Nyawpyin Village of Launglon Township secretly took positions, and security forces took security measures. So, terrorists set fire to huts where they took a base camp ran away. Tatmadaw seized homemade mines, explosives and accessories.
Malicious media are making attempts to cause misunderstanding between residents and security forces and defame these security forces through social network pages. — MNA/TTA
