Merit shared for martyr leaders on 76th Martyrs’ Day in Nay Pyi Taw

The commemoration and donation ceremony in progress yesterday in Nay Pyi Taw.

On the 76th Martyrs’ Day, a donation ceremony was held at the Nay Pyi Taw Council Office yesterday morning and merit was shared for the leaders who sacrificed their lives for the country.
Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman U Tin Oo Lwin, Commander of Nay Pyi Taw Command Brig-Gen Wai Lin and officials received the Five Precepts from Presiding Patron Sayadaw Agga Maha Pandita Vimala Bodhi of Mingala Zeyon Pali Takkatho monastery.
Then, Nay Pyi Taw Council Chairman and officials donated offerings to Sayadaws and monks and shared merits gained dedicating to fallen leaders after listening to the sermons recited by Presiding Patron Sayadaw of Thukha Vihara Thayetgon monastery of Pyinmana Dr Bhaddanta Muni Kumara.
After the ceremony, they donated a day meal to Sayadaws and monks.  — MNA/KTZH
