Union Minister U Myo Myint Oo and party inspect the Maubin oil and gas field yesterday.

Union Energy Minister U Myo Myint Oo and Ayeyawady Region Chief Minister U Tin Maung Win inspected the Maubin oil and gas field in Maubin Township yesterday.
First, the field general manager and officials explained the status of drilling and testing of Well No 20, the estimated volume of natural gas and liquid gas from underground extraction, the prospect of production from Well No 9, the maintenance work of the Kangyidaunt-Thaboung section of the Nyaungdon-Thaboung natural gas pipeline, the prospect of oil and natural gas exploration in Maubin oilfield and the project for oil and natural gas exploration in the Phayagon area to the Union minister and the chief minister.
Next, the Union minister and the chief minister coordinated the necessary things. Then, they inspected Well No 20 and provided the fruit basket and nutritious foodstuffs to the staff.
The Nyaungdon-Maubin oil and natural gas field have 17 wells producing about 50 barrels of liquid gas and over 22 million cubic feet of natural gas per day.—MNA/KZW
