MoI tracks Myanmar media trend to explore its impacts, challenges

The Ministry of Information held a discussion on the ongoing trend of Myanmar media yesterday. The discussion was attended by Union Minister Dr Pe Myint, Deputy Minister U Aung Hla Tun, departmental heads, officers, staff members and invited guests.Union Minister Dr Pe Myint delivered an opening remark, saying that news media workers need to track and thoroughly understand the trend of media, only then they could pace themselves in changing technologies for media development, and could find ways to address possible impacts and challenges.
Deputy Director U Khin Maung Kyi from Internal/External Relations and Information Division, Director U Aung Myo Thant from the Information and Public Relations Department, Editor Daw Khin Yadanar from the News and Periodicals Enterprise, Staff Officer U Aung Aung Oo from Myanma Radio and Television, Assistant Director U Tet Tun Toe from IPRD and Editor Daw Su Yi Mon from NPE presented their discussions.
Attendees at the event took part in the discussions. Deputy Minister U Aung Hla Tun made his suggestions for cooperation, coordination and exchange of views in the changing trend of media industry.
