Myanmar suffers 0-5 loss to China in AFC U-20 Women’s Qualifiers

Myanmar U-20 women’s football team suffered a 0-5 defeat to China U-20 Women’s team in the Round-2 Qualifiers for the AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup 2024 played at the Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon yesterday.
It rained heavily in yesterday’s game, so both teams played with all their might.
Due to the height difference, the Myanmar team could not play at the same level as China.
Lu Jiayu scored the first goal for China in eight minutes.
Next, the second goal for China was scored by Jiang Chenjing in 36 minutes and the third goal was scored by Huo Yuexin in 41 minutes.
Team China led the first half with triple goals.
In the second half, China did not slow down their game and played a high attack.
Zhao Xinyue produced the fourth and fifth goals in 69, and 74 minutes.
Near the end of the game, it was raining more heavily, so it was more difficult for the Myanmar team to get an equalizer.
China celebrated at the final whistle as they have already advanced to the AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup 2024 along with second-placed team Chinese Taipei. Myanmar and Nepal were eliminated from the group stage of the qualifiers. — KZL
