Myanmar U-19 men’s football team made a win over State & Region U-19 team 2-0 in a friendly match played at Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon yesterday.
In the first half of the match, the preliminary Myanmar national team played with their ability, but they could not use their opportunities and end up in a goalless draw.
In the second half, both teams changed players, and Chit Aye scored two winning goals for the preliminary Myanmar U-19 team.
The match was a warm-up match for team Myanmar ahead of the Asian U-20 qualifiers to be held in Saudi Arabia from 10 to 18 September, and head coach U Soe Myat Min had the opportunity to test the players.
The friendly match was held to ensure that players under the age of 19 who have shown their skills in the regional and state U-19 competitions will have the opportunity to play in the Myanmar National League clubs.
The State and Regional U-19 team will play a second friendly match against the preliminary Myanmar national U-19 team at Thuwunna Stadium on 31 August. — GNLM
