Over 100 players compete in Yangon Region’s Billiard and Snooker tourney

In commemoration of the 77th Anniversary of Union Day, the Yangon Region Chief Minister’s Trophy inter-township men’s and women’s open billiards and snooker competitions were held at designated gymnasiums yesterday afternoon.
The knockout stages of the Snooker tournaments were held at the Urban Cue Billiards Hall while the Billiard and 9 Ball tournaments took place at Urban Asia in Yangon.
“The tourney represents states and regions. The first, second and third placed players will be selected for Yangon Region team.
All the players except for professional players competed in the tourney,” said chairman of the Yangon Region Billiard and Snooker Subcommittee U Kyaw Naing Oo. Over 100 players from 37 townships across Yangon Region took part in the tourney which will be held till 9 February. — Bala Soe/KZL
