Over K410 mln worth of stimulant tablets captured in Mayangon, East Dagon townships

Over K410 million worth of 410,000 stimulant tablets were impounded in Mayangon and Dagon Myothit (East) townships in Yangon Region, Myanmar Police Force stated.
A combined team consisting of members of the Anti-Drug Police Force examined an Isuzu Bighorn car driven by Kyaw Ko Lwin accompanied by Hla Htwe (aka) Ko Htwe near the Myakyuntha park in Mayangon township, according to information at 6 pm on 23 February. Police Force seized 200,000 stimulant tablets.
Acting on a tip-off, Police Force searched the house of Kyaw Ko Lwin in Dagon Myothit (East) Township at 7 pm on the same day and seized another 210,000 stimulant tablets.
The offenders admitted the drugs were carried from Shan State (South) to Yangon Region. Police have taken legal action against the offenders and an investigation is underway to identify other perpetrators in the crime chain. — MNA/MKKS
