Residents urged to participate in restoring peace and stability, rule of law

Members of the State Administration Council continue their trips to townships of relevant states to oversee development tasks, operation of producing fishery products and meeting with religious leaders in order to restore peace and stability as well as the rule of law.

Putao and Machanbaw in Kachin State
SAC member Daw Dwe Bu together with Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan viewed the sale of fish, meat and foodstuffs produced by residents at the market in Myoma ward of Putao in Kachin State on the morning of 18 September.
She then looked round the fish farms in Namkham Village and thriving perennial crops in the compound of Namkham Basic Education High School Branch in Machanbaw Township. She also visited the grapefruit farm in Inbulaw Village. While in Machanbaw, she met local authorities, departmental officials, ethnic literature and culture committees and town elders at Gubar Guesthouse. She also viewed the breeding of sturgeon, catfish and tilapia in the fish farm in ward 3 of Machanbaw.

Monghsat in Shan State
SAC members U Shwe Kyein and U Yan Kyaw together with Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye comforted Wa ethnic patients at the Wa hospital in Wamhing region of Monghsat Township in Shan State yesterday morning. They explained the important role of peace and stability in the country to the residents at the Hall of Wamhing. They also met with Wa ethnic people in Hopan-Howet. The Chief Minister explained the plan to fulfil the requirements of the region and healthcare services for residents.

Thandwe in Rakhine State
SAC member Dr Ba Shwe together with Rakhine State Chief Minister U Htein Lin yesterday inspected development undertakings in Thandwe. In the meeting with town elders in Dwarawady Hall of Thandwe, they urged locals to participate in forging peace and stability, the rule of law and the development process of the township. While in Thandwe, the SAC member visited TMP cold storage where businessperson U Tin Maung Htay explained plans for the breeding of soft crab, fish, shrimp and other fishery products for export purposes.

Loikaw in Kayah State
SAC member Porel Aung Thein, together with Kayah State Chief Minister U Zaw Myo Tin presented prizes and agricultural machinery to outstanding farmers in the cultivation of summer paddy exceeding the target in Kayah State. The ceremony took place in Loikaw yesterday. The SAC member met with reverends of the Loikaw Catholic Diocese in Loikaw, urging them to contribute to the development of the state through peaceful coexistence, and donated cash to the Loikaw Catholic Diocese. — MNA/TTA
