Govt prioritizes border and mainland stability through peace talks with EAOs

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and Mr Deng Xijun, Special Envoy for Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, discussed the government’s peace talks with ethnic armed organizations to ensure peace and stability in the whole country including border regions.
Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing held talks with Mr Deng Xijun, Special Envoy for Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China, at the Office of the SAC Chairman in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
They cordially exchanged views on the help of China in the peace process, cooperation in narcotic drug eradication, bilateral cooperation in the elimination of online gambling and online scams, the border trade process between the two countries, and political progress in Myanmar.
Also present at the meeting were SAC Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe, Chairman of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung and officials.
The Special Envoy for Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of PRC was accompanied by officials from the Chinese Embassy to Myanmar. — MNA/TTA
