Russian delegation led by Russian Navy’s Commander-in-Chief leaves for home

The delegation, led by Admiral Nikolai A Evmenov, the Russian Navy Commander-in-Chief, who was on a goodwill visit to Myanmar at the invitation of Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Moe Aung, departed from Yangon by air yesterday. Rear-Admiral Htein Win and senior officers from Tatmadaw (Navy), along with Russia’s Military Attaché to Myanmar Colonel Sergey Kurchenko, and officials, bid farewell to the delegation at the Mingaladon Air Force Base.
The Russian Navy destroyers, namely Admiral Tributs, Admiral Panteleev, and the Sea Tanker Pechenga, which arrived in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar for a maritime security exercise and a friendly visit, left the Thilawa Port. Tatmadaw (Navy) senior officers and officials were present to see them off.
During their stay in Myanmar, the crews visited famous places in Yangon, engaged in friendly sports competitions between the two countries, and conducted harbour-based exercises, including defence against air, water, and underwater attacks, in collaboration with military vessels from Tatmadaw (Navy). — MNA/KZW
