SAC member attends 62nd anniversary of Peasants’ Day in Pathein

State Administration Council Member Mahn Nyein Maung participated in the 62nd anniversary of Peasants’ Day held at Wardu Village in Kangyidaunt Township of Pathein District in Ayeyawady Region yesterday.
After the ceremonial procedures, the SAC member read out the message sent by SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing.
Then, the SAC member, the Ayeyawady Region chief minister and the deputy minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation made remarks, respectively.
They also presented prizes and agricultural machinery for eight districts to the outstanding farmers and staff. They then observed the demonstration of sowing paddy seeds by using a Drum Seeder, six rows seeder and ten rows seeder.
Next, the SAC member and party viewed the galleries displayed in commemoration of the 62nd Peasants’ Day.
The SAC member and party attended the real-life show on undertakings and experiences of prize-winning farmers. They also viewed the thriving of a SuperSun-41 sunflower plantation on the 10-acre croplands in Thebyu Village-tract of Thaboung Township. — MNA/KTZH
