In his speech, the Vice-Senior General said that he wanted to know the implementation works of the five-point road map and nine objectives of SAC and took the relevant departmental officials to resolve the needs and difficulties of locals and government employees. Cocokyun is a large one formed with 12 islands that are essential geographically and for the country’s security. The locals should understand the value of the island. Similarly, the efforts of government staff working at Cocokyun are also appreciated as they serve their duties at the forefront of the country with patients. The Prime Minister assigned duties to the Ministry of Cooperatives and Rural Development to conduct training courses for SMEs at coir rope factory and commodity products manufacturing industries to ensure job opportunities for individual incomes. It should give the training to produce marketable products suitable for the current changing living style. Moreover, the regional government should create a market for the products submitted at the township level.
It needs to explore new techniques to produce new commodities based on the region’s advantage as it produces plenty of coconuts.
Learning opportunities in rural and cities are not that different in the IT era in the education sector. The support and well-being of teachers, parents, and township administrative officials can promote the exam results. The government fulfilled the basic infrastructure needs starting in 2012. Tatmadaw vessels provided transport services once every two weeks and Tatmadaw aircraft once every month.
Then, the Vice-Senior General provided cash assistance and food aid to the relevant officials.
He also comforted residents receiving medical treatment at the township hospital in Cocokyun Township and presented foodstuffs.
He then inspected the hospital compound and stressed the need for the health staff to maintain the medicines and materials as the health is the most important, systematically use the provided tools, conduct heath awareness campaigns and cooperate with administrative organizations and locals. Afterwards, he offered cash prizes and foodstuffs.
