A plan to build a Union based on democracy and federalism by exercising the genuine disciplined multiparty democratic system in fairness was inserted into the political objective. In the democratization process, all citizens are responsible for the implementation of the non-disintegration of the Union, non-disintegration of sovereignty and the perpetuation of sovereignty as the Our Three Main National Causes.
According to the nature of democracy, all citizens shall enjoy inborn rights and equal terms of rights. Any citizen shall have a chance to equal terms of rights under the Constitution and the framework of laws enacted by the legislative power. Hence, they have to culture the spirit of a good citizen of the State for their nation and the national.
A good citizen is defined as a spirit who considers the interests of society without selfishness alone. On the other hand, it means the spirit focuses on charity and self-interests. In the democratic paradigm of Myanmar, the number of citizens able to forge the spirit of a good citizen is lesser and lesser but the number of persons with selfishness is on the rise. As such, the process of shaping the new nation is facing difficulties more than usual.
Everybody needs to improve themselves by abiding by the disciplines and laws and reviewing the common interest of the citizens at a time when the country is marching towards a new democratic nation. According to the nature of democracy, every citizen will have a duty and right. Every citizen will not have to enjoy the rights without serving the assigned duty. If they have to forge the spirit of a good citizen and be dutiful for the State duty, they will have to enjoy the citizen rights automatically. Hence, all citizens need to participate in the nation-building tasks in a bit to build a modernized nation.
It is impossible to rely on external forces for shaping the prestigious people and the nation in the establishment of a democratic country. The government, the people and all organizations need to implement a check and balance system for one another and to march forward through internal united strength.
As such, all citizens residing in Myanmar need to give a helping hand to each other and realize mutual trust, respect and understanding for participating in the building of a democratic nation by culturing the spirit of good citizens so as to emerge a disciplined prestigious democratic nation without prioritizing self-interests.
