Shwedagon holds handover ceremony of donated funds

Shwedagon’s 586th ceremony of donations.

The 586th ceremony for handing over donated funds took place at the Shwedagon Pagoda on 7 May, with the total amount exceeding two billion kyats.
During the period from 1 March to 30 April, 47 individuals donated seven 3-tical gold plates and 53 one-tical gold plates, while 116 donated over K2.3 billion.
The pagoda board of trustees awarded certificates of appreciation to donors who contributed K100,000 or more. — TWA/TKO
