Special thanks to all the media for presenting a fair review of the facts in both voices: SAC Information Team Leader Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun

SAC’s Information Team Leader Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun.

Special thanks to some local/foreign media outlets for providing actual events and fair review, said Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun, Leader of the State Administration Council’s Information Team, at the 13th press conference of the Information Team held on 27 April in Nay Pyi Taw.
The team leader also added that it is unfortunate that some media outlets had made accusations against such ethical media. He said Chairman of the State Administration Council Senior General Min Aung Hlaing emphasizes the media as the fourth estate of the country. He gave instructions to communicate between the Tatmadaw and the media since he has served his duties as the Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Services. The Tatmadaw Information Team was formed and liaised with the Press Council, and workshops were held to speed up the flow of information between the Tatmadaw and the media.
The workshops were open to the media and started with explanations of the questions raised by the media. A total of six workshops were held, and the Tatmadaw press conference started on 18 January 2019, he said.
In seven years, a total of six workshops and 38 press conferences were held. The first press conference after the Tatmadaw took over the state was held on 16 February 2021. — MNA
