Tangyan township administrator, chairman of township administration council and departmental officials have made arrangements to help the displaced people to return home.
The township administration council chairman, township administrator U Soe Min Htet and officials warmly welcomed the displaced people, who flocked to Tangyan in northern Shan State, at Tangyan-Panghsan road entrance and provided accommodation for them at the temporary camp located in Wa Literature and Culture Hall.
“We heard many more people are arriving again tomorrow. We appreciate that officials have made arrangements for us to go back home. We are fine here but we want to go back home as soon as possible,” said a woman from Aung Lan township who is staying now at the refugee camp.
Displaced people have been provided proper accommodation and food at the temporary camp.
On 23 November, officials also provided arrangements for the displaced people to stay one night in the township with the help of local donors and helped them to go back to their native places in cooperation with the township auxiliary fire brigade members.
.In addition to committing various terrorist acts, including the destruction of department buildings, roads, and bridges by blasting the mines in Shan State (North), TNLA and PDF terrorists have been destroying public transport roads used for regional logistics. The roads, which are not military targets, are disrupted by digging deep cross ditches and blocking them with piles of earth cuttings.
The destructive activities of TNLA and PDF terrorists include cutting and blocking roads by slashing trees and creating cross pits along the PyinOoLwin-Nawnghkio-Kyaukme-Lashio Union Highway. These activities occurred at one location each near Shwenyaungbin, Nawnghkio township, Lelkyinkway village, Ohmmakha village, Goktwin Viewpoint, and Naungpit junction, as well as seven locations between Naungpit and Naungpain villages. Because of these perpetrations, travellers and vehicles were unable to use roads, causing significant disruptions and losses for the emergency health matters of locals.
After making necessary security arrangements, security forces cleared step by step the blockades made by terrorists, starting from 6 November, and attempted to restore convenient transport for the public. On the night of 19 November, a total of 12 blocked locations were reopened. Thanks to removing barriers, the road up to Kyaukme can now resume its service to enable the regular traffic, and the security forces will continue to try to clear the remaining blockades along the Union Highway for normal operation. The security forces, in cooperation with residents, are making progress in conducting a counter-terrorism campaign against terrorists who destroyed public transport roads that are not military targets, as announced in that statement
