The 8th Coordination Meeting of the Task Force to facilitate the provision of Humanitarian Assistance to Myanmar through the AHA Centre was held at 10:00 am on 12 May 2022 at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Meeting was physically attended by the Chair of the Task Force, U Ko Ko Hlaing, Union Minister for International Cooperation, Vice-Chair (2) of the Task Force, Dr Thet Thet Khine, Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement, members of the Task Force and virtually attended by Ministers for Security and Border Affairs from Governments of Kayah State, Kayin State, Shan State, Rakhine State, Magway Region, Sagaing Region and Bago Region.
The Meeting discussed the follow-up actions of the Consultative Meeting particularly identifying the areas where Joint Needs Assessment for Phase-2 provision of ASEAN Humanitarian Assistance to Myanmar and pilot projects will be conducted, necessary preparation for the safe and effective deployment of the ASEAN Emergency Response and Assessment Team (ASEAN ERAT) in designated areas and deliberating tools and methodologies which will enhance the ASEAN Humanitarian Assistance Delivery Arrangement as well as the Joint Vaccination Framework.—MNA
