Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Electric Power U Nyan Tun and Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr Myo Thein Kyaw attended the XIII International Forum ATOMEXPO 2024 held in Sochi, Russian Federation on 25 March together with Myanmar Ambassador to Russia U Thit Lin Ohn and officials.
First, the Myanmar delegation, led by the Union Ministers, along with the attendees, visited the international nuclear-related exhibitions displayed at the forum, asked questions, and discussed what they wanted to know.
Next, the Union Ministers attend the launching ceremony of the XIII International Forum ATOMEXPO 2024, as well as the Plenary Session of the Forum, with the topic named “Clean Energy: Creating the Future Together”.
In the afternoon, Union Minister U Nyan Tun had a discussion with Grigory Nazarov, Director General of NovaWind JSC Company, about renewable energy wind and small hydropower plants to be invested in Myanmar.
The Union Minister also discussed the thermal power plant with Andrey Rozhdestvin, Director General of JSC Rusatom Energy Projects Company.
The XIII International Forum ATOMEXPO 2024 is discussing all aspects of the modern nuclear energy industry and its further development. Leaders of the world’s atomic energy industry and international representatives, as well as Russian and foreign companies and key experts in the nuclear field, attended the forum.
Traditionally, the Forum programme is an international congress and an exhibition of goods and services for the nuclear and related industries, so it is also an international conference aimed at discussing outstanding issues of the world’s nuclear industry. — MNA/KZL
