The Vegetables, Fruits, and Horticulture Exhibition and Competition are set to take place at Kandawgyi Natural Park in Bahan Township, Yangon Region, for seven days, from 1 to 7 January 2024, as announced by the organizing committee.
The competition will be organized for the Chief Minister’s Trophy by the Yangon Region Government in commemoration of the 76th Anniversary of Independence Day.
Among the 24 types of competitions, participants in the landscape event must finalize their preparations between 29 and 31 December.
The fruit design event is scheduled on 31 December, and the flower arrangement event will take place on 1 January.
Additionally, the vegetables and fruits to be displayed in the competition must be sent to the competition organizing committee on 30 and 31 December, and the participating flowery plants should be delivered to the competition venue on 31 December.
Contest applications are available at free of charge from the Myanmar Floriculturist Association, People’s Square and People’s Park, Yangon Regional Department of Agriculture, and the Department of Parks and Playgrounds under the Yangon City Development Committee (YCDC). — ASH/TKO
