World Environment Day 2021 celebrated in Yangon

A ceremony to commemorate World Environment Day was held yesterday morning in Yangon. Yangon Region Administration Council Chairman U Hla Soe addressed the ceremony.
At the ceremony, the videos of the speech of Secretary-General of United Nations Mr Antonio Guterres and UN Environment Programme Executive Director Ms Inger Andersen were showed.
The ceremony was concluded by presenting the educational video programme “Let’s Restore Ecosystems for Environmental Sustainability” in commemoration of the 2021 World Environment Day, filmed by the Department of Environmental Conservation.
A total of 150 tree seedlings were distributed at the ceremony.—MNA
