Yangon United women’s team closes 2023 season with series of win

Yangon United women’s team beat Sports & Physical Education Institute FC 3-1 in the final match of the 2023 Myanmar Women’s League yesterday and closed the season with three points.
Yangon bagged the full point thanks to the goals of Yoon Wati Hlaing, Pann Ei Nwe and Zin Moe Pyae.
With a 4-2-3-1 set formation, Yangon frequently attacked opponents. Yangon United team’s attacks hit the goal bar thrice in the early minutes. But Yoon Wati Hlaing scored the leading goal at 23 minutes of the game.
However, Sanda Lin from the SPEI team scored the equalizer at the 34-minute mark.
In the second half, team Yangon penetrated the rivals’ defence line with a quick pass. Yangon found the second goal at 71 minutes which was netted by Pann Ei Nwe at 71 minutes and the third goal at 83 minutes by Zin Moe Pyae.
With the 3-1 victory, Yangon secured their sweet victory with full points. After the 2023 season of the women’s league, Yangon is standing fourth with three wins, one draw and six losses. — KZL
