10th Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Economic Corridors Forum was held in M Gallery Hotel, Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
In his opening remark to the opening ceremony of the forum Union Minister U Thaung Tun spoke of the importance of the economic corridors and relation to Myanmar Sustainable Development Plan (MSDP).
At the meeting assessment and review on development status of GMS economic corridors, sector wise preliminary assessment and review on north-south economic corridor, GMS e-commerce process, cooperation in health, safe and secure movement of migrant workers were discussed.
The forum was attended by Union Ministers U Thant Sin Maung, U Thein Swe and U Han Zaw, representatives from GMS member countries of Cambodia, China, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam and Asia Development Bank (ADB), representatives from development partner organisations and private sector totaling more than 150 it is learnt.
