2022 Mid-Year Gems Emporium kicks off

The 2022 Mid-Year Gems Emporium kicked off at Mani Yadana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday morning.
Local and foreign merchants looked around and viewed the displays of pearl, jade and gem lots in the hall and raw jade lots outside the hall.
In the Gems Emporium, 400 pearl lots, 120 gem lots and 2,150 jade lots are being put on sale under the open tender systems.
The floor price for pearl lots is mentioned in dollars and foreign merchants will have to pay in dollars, yuan and baht currency while local merchants will have to pay in Myanmar kyat. Then, the floor price for gem and jade lots is mentioned in euros and the foreign merchants will have to pay in dollars, euros, yuan and baht whereas the local merchants will have to pay in Myanmar kyat.
Similarly, the jewellery and gemstone shops are crowded with visitors at the Maniradana Jade Hall.
The emporium will be held from 19 October to 25 October. The pearl lots will be on display starting from 19 October and on sale on 20 and 21 October, the gem lots will be on display from 19 October to 21 October and on sale on 22 October and the jade lots will be on display from 19 October to 22 October and on sale from 23 October to 25 October. — MNA
