Venerable Sayadaws receive COVID-19 vaccine

Tatmadaw keeps launching COVID-19 vaccination programmes for elderly over the age of 65, departmental officials including Venerable Sayadaws in their respective military command areas.

A total of 142 monks including Maha Nayaka Sayadaws of Masoe Yein monastery in Mahaaungmye of Mandalay Region, Professors, Department Heads, Rector Sayadaws, Presiding Sayadaws and other monks of State Pariyatti Sasana University in Aungmyethazan were vaccinated against COVID-19 by Tatmadaw medical teams yesterday.

Mandalay Region Administration Council Chairman U Maung Ko and officials of Central Command inspected the vaccination programmes and paid homage to Sayadaws.—MNA
