Working committee on facilitation of trade and goods holds meeting

Chairman of the Working Committee on Ensuring the Smooth Flow of Trade and Goods Deputy Minister for Commerce U Nyunt Aung, the Permanent Secretary for Commerce, Secretary of the working committee, officials from the Myanmar Port Authority and the Myanmar Rice Federation discussed export of agricultural products yesterday evening in Yangon.
Afterwards, they visited Sule Port No (7) and inspected rice loading for export to Bangladesh on MV VTC Planet.
As of 12 May, the 2020-2021FY, 6,886,004 tonnes of agricultural products: 1,306,300 tonnes of rice and broken rice; 2,035,113 tonnes of corn; 1,112,963 tonnes of various beans; 217,449 tonnes of sesame seeds; 208,978 tonnes of raw rubber and 2,005,202 tonnes of other agricultural products.
A total of 6,886,004 tonnes were exported through Yangon International Ports. Of them, a total of 3,445,810 tonnes of agricultural products were exported between February and 12 May 2021.
